NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. 1. HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST: a. The “Toyota High School Athlete of the Week” contest (the "Contest”) will begin August 20th, 2007 and ends June 29, 2008, at the conclusion of the 2007-2008 school year (“Contest period”). b. To nominate a student athlete, log onto www.Chicagosports.com or www.WBBM780.com during the Contest Period and click on the link to the Toyota High School Athlete of the Week Contest to nominate a student athlete who you think should be named the High School Athlete of the Week. Completely fill out the on-line nomination form, including the nominee’s full name, grade, high school, and high school address, as well as your first name and last name, a valid email address and the reasons why you think that nominee deserves to win based on their athletic performance over the past week. Also provide specific and accurate information regarding your nominee’s participation in school and extracurricular activities, performance in Illinois High School Association (“IHSA”) or Indiana High School Athletic Association (“IHSAA”) varsity sports (including all statistical information from the previous seven days, from the date that you nominate the student, quality of the opposition (e.g. ranking), the nature of the competition and the specifics of the individual athletic performance) and any other information that reflects on the character of your nominee. There are no limitations on how many nominations a student athlete may receive during each weekly nomination period or how many times an athlete may be nominated. However, an athlete is only eligible to be named the Toyota High School Student Athlete of the Week one time. For purposes of these Official Rules, “receipt” of any on-line nomination will be solely determined by when the Contest Administrator’s website server records the nomination data. Any automated computer form reply or receipt (such as one confirming delivery of e-mail) does not constitute actual receipt by Administrator of a nomination form for purposes of these Official Rules. To have your nominee be considered for a particular week, you must submit your nomination between 12:00 p.m. NOON on Friday and by 6:00 p.m. on Monday of each week. c. WBBM, Chicago Tribune, Chicagosports.com, Chicago Region Toyota Dealer Association and Toyota (“Contest Parties”) are not responsible for nominations not received due to difficulty accessing the Internet, service outages or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches. Contest Parties are not responsible for lost, stolen, deleted, garbled, misdelivered, incomplete or late nominations. 2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS: a. You may nominate any high school athlete who participates in an IHSA or IHSAA varsity sport and is currently enrolled at a public high school (grades 9 through 12) in one of the following counties: Lake County, IL; McHenry County, IL; DuPage County, IL; Cook County, IL; Kane County, IL; Will County, IL; Kendall County, IL; Grundy County, IL; Lake County, IN; or Porter County, IN. Employees of Toyota, Chicago Region Toyota Dealer Association, Chicago Tribune Company, Tribune Company, CBS Radio Inc., CBS Corporation, and their respective licensees, affiliates, affiliated advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Chicago metropolitan area, and members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win. If the athlete nominee quits school or moves to a school not in one of the above-mentioned counties or become academically ineligible then he/she will no longer be eligible for consideration for High School Athlete of the Week. If a nominee is chosen as a High School Athlete of the Week and later quits school or moves to a school not in one of the above-mentioned counties, then he/she will no longer be eligible for consideration for High School Athlete of the Year. The student has to be currently participating in the Varsity sport during the time of the nomination (e.g., a student who played a sport in the Fall can not be nominated for the Athlete of the week for that sport in the winter after the season in over.) b. All information submitted in nomination forms will be subject to verification. Nominators are required to provide truthful information and Contest Parties will reject and delete any nomination it discovers to be false or fraudulent. c. You must be age 13 years or older to submit a nomination for this Contest. Contest Parties will disqualify and delete any nomination received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. 3. INTERNET CONTEST PRIVACY POLICY: a. Contest Parties do not sell, lease, exchange or disclose your personally identifiable information with third party non-affiliated persons other than our sponsors or partners, unless it is required by law, or disclosure is necessary to those persons that operate our website, manage our contests/events and conduct prize fulfillment (“operational providers”), and to protect the safety of our visitors, employees or property. We also expect our operational providers to protect privacy. b. WBBM’s contests, sweepstakes and special events are often produced with the support of non-affiliated sponsors and/or promotional partners. The personally identifiable information nominators voluntarily provide on our website may also be used for the marketing of additional events, services, and goods by CBS RADIO Chicago, WBBM’s parent company and affiliated station, and their sponsors or partners. Please be informed that WBBM’s sponsors or promotional partners may not have the same privacy policies that WBBM does. If you do not wish to receive such additional marketing information or updates from CBS RADIO Chicago and/or its sponsors or partners, check the box(es) so indicated in the contest registration area. WBBM maintains the rights to disclose any and all databases collected by the website(s) in the event that the assets or stock of CBS RADIO Chicago, or its corporate licensee or parent company, are sold or transferred. CBS RADIO Chicago may provide aggregate statistics about WBBM’s contestants, traffic patterns, and related website information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will not include personally identifying information. c. Chicago Tribune’s and Chicagosports.com terms of use and privacy policy are set forth at the bottom of the www.chicagosports.com webpage. 4. PRIZES: a. Each Toyota High School Athlete of the Week will receive one (1) plaque and will have his/her picture printed in the Sunday Chicago Tribune and included on www.wbbm780.com and www.chicagosports.com. Approximate Retail Value of each Athlete of the Week Prize is less than $20. Each Student Athlete of the Week’s school will receive a five hundred dollar ($500) donation for the school’s athletic department in the form of a check. b. One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded to the school of the Toyota High School Athlete of the Year. The Athlete of the Year will be recognized on-air on WBBM Newsradio 780, in print in the Chicago Tribune and online at www.wbbm780.com and www.chicagosports.com, and his/her school will receive a $5,000 donation for its athletic department in the form of a check. c. One (1) plaque will be mailed to the weekly winner within four (4) weeks of notification of winning. Prizes (Donations) for the winner’s school will be delivered to the winner’s school at a mutual time to be determined between the winner’s school, Toyota, Chicagosports.com, Chicago Tribune and WBBM. 5. SELECTION OF WINNERS a. All decisions of Contest Parties with respect to the Contest are final and binding. b. One (1) weekly winner will be selected each week,during the Contest Period. The Chicagosports.com Editorial Department will select up to ten (10) eligible nominated student athletes based equally on (a) participation in school and extracurricular activities, (b) performance in sporting events and (c) overall character. These (up to) ten (10) high school athletes will be posted online on www.Chicagosports.com on Tuesday of the following week and WBBM will then select the High School Athlete of the Week from among these ten nominees based on the same criteria as the Chicagosports.com Editorial Department stated above in this section 5(b). c. At the end of the 2007-2008 school year, one (1) Toyota High School Athlete of the Year will be selected from all eligible Toyota High School Athlete of the Week winners. The Athlete of the Year will be selected by a panel of judges from Toyota, Chicago Tribune, Chicagosports.com and WBBM based on the same criteria stated in section 5(b) above. 6. CONDITIONS: a. By participating in the Contest, the winners hereby release the Contest Parties from any and all claims in connection with the Contest and agree to have their names, voices, photographs, likenesses, or biographical material used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this Contest, without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize. If the winner is a minor, his or her parent or legal guardian must sign the publicity release on behalf of the minor. b. Contest Parties, in their sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the nomination process, the operation of the WBBM or Chicagosports.com web site or who is otherwise in violation of the rules. Contest Parties further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort. c. Contest Parties reserve the right to make changes in the rules of the Contest including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. d. Failure to comply with the Contest rules may result in disqualification at the sole discretion of Contest Parties.
